I create stories and illustrations for curious young readers.

Hello! I'm Nur Ventura, a children's illustrator and author based in Barcelona, Spain.

What I do?

I work across children's publishing, illustrating picture books, early readers, nonfiction and educational projects. I collaborate with authors, editors and art directors to bring stories and ideas to life through warm, expressive and narrative illustration.

Alongside commissioned work, I also develop my own stories and picture book projects as an author/illustrator. I'm especially drawn to books that spark curiosity, invite children to explore the world around them and leave room for humor, warmth and wonder.

My original projects are currently available for publication, and I am actively seeking literary representation, particularly in the UK and US.

I love creating expressive characters, visual worlds and small details that encourage children to look closer, ask questions and discover something new.

I live in Barcelona with my partner, our son and two cats, both adorable, although not exactly best friends. When I'm not drawing, you'll probably find me drinking coffee, taking care of my plants, cooking or looking for something new to explore.
